xlite and xbrite to exhibit at Truckfest Peterborough 2011
Motor Wheel Service will be displaying its xlite and xbrite ranges of forged aluminium commercial vehicle wheels at Truckfest Peterborough, while also promoting its steel wheel safety campaign. Located on stand A18, the company will be highlighting the fuel and payload advantages of forged aluminium wheels – but also discussing the need for operators to look seriously at the issue of wheel safety and product procurement.
John Ellis, managing director at Motor Wheel Service, said: “We are looking forward to revisiting Truckfest Peterborough having launched the xlite and xbrite ranges to an enthusiastic reception here 12 months ago, so the event seems like the home of these products. We will also be promoting the issues behind our wheel safety campaign and looking for stakeholders to educate the market. We are talking to the Government about the lack of quality assurance of this safety critical item, and the industry needs to start taking this problem evermore seriously.”
While xlite wheels are forged aluminium products said to be five times stronger and 40 per cent lighter than steel, xbrite refers to the finish. Machined and polished finishes are also available.
Truckfest Peterborough 2011 takes place at the East of England Showground, Alwalton, on Sunday 1 May and Bank Holiday Monday 2 May.
