Toyo releases new UHP Proxes products
Toyo Tires’ has updated its flagship Proxes range, with the addition of the Proxes T1 Sport and the Proxes C1S. The Proxes line has been selected as original equipment on brands from Audi, Mazda and Nissan to bespoke sports cars like Westfield, Farbio and Invicta.
According to the company, the Ultra High Performance Proxes T1 Sport is all about making “the best even better.” For ultimate handling and grip in both wet and dry conditions, the Proxes T1 Sport is said to be “supremely stable,” even at fast motorway speeds. The tyre has an asymmetric tread pattern with a multi-compound concept engineered for braking, aquaplaning and cornering performance.
A different pattern design – a wider rib and block is applied to the 285 section width and larger sizes to gain enough cornering power on rear positions. This of course maintains the efficiency and handling, even at the larger tyre sizes. This tyre is available in sizes ranging from 16 to 19 inches.
The firm’s comfort option is the Proxes C1S. It’s the new High Performance tyre for premium and luxury cars. The asymmetric tread is designed to provide a quiet and comfortable ride and “superb handling.” The tyre is said to have great high speed stability, good water dispersal and noise reduction resulting in its “optimal quality and excellent performance to meet the requirements of the premium vehicles it is engineered for.” The C1S also benefits from having an optimised profile for low rolling resistance which improves fuel economy and is available from sizes 15 to 20 inches.
