Maxxis – van operators can rely on us
The range of van and light truck tyres sold by Maxxis in the UK exceeds 50 sizes and covers the whole segment. The tyre maker reports its van line-up is purpose-designed to provide superb handling in all weathers, with tyres manufactured from a premium rubber compound and featuring a double steel belt construction plus continuous shoulder ribs for long life and uniformity and extra plies for improved puncture and abrasion resistance. “Van operators can rely on Maxxis tyres to help them keep costs down, to maximise profitability, without compromising on durability and performance,” comments Maxxis International UK’s managing director Derek McMartin. Maxxis van and light truck tyres are available exclusively in the UK from Grouptyre.
UR275
The UR275 is aimed at medium-size trucks that demand enhanced manoeuvrability and handling stability, and Maxxis reports the added benefit of low rolling resistance. The tyre maker states the rib pattern of the UR275 has been optimised to deliver a smooth, quiet ride, while the tread compound is designed to resist heat generation and wear and tear and an extra-strong casing prevents punctures and abrasions. The UR275 is available in sizes 215/75R 17.5PR to 245/70R 19.5.
UE168
A jointless spiral-wrapped full nylon cap delivers extra strength and stability to the UE168, says Maxxis, while the tyre’s extra heavy-duty sidewall is intended to ensure responsive handling and performance under a variety of demanding commercial applications. The UE168 also features continuous shoulder ribs for smooth, even tread wear and increased tread life. Available in sizes from 12- to 16-inch, the UE168 is R-speed rated with a 70-80 profile and the rib type tread design with deep shoulder grooves.
UE103
Van operators seeking a practical solution for everyday use need look no further than the UE103, says Maxxis. This tyre features a rugged tread compound formulation for good abrasion resistance and high tensile strength steel-belts for extra life. The rib tread design is designed to give improved stability and a smooth ride, while Maxxis states the tyre also offers two further key benefits that are important to long distance drivers – superior water dispersal, especially on motorways, and low in-cabin noise. It is available in seven sizes, from the 165/70R14C to the 235/65R16C.
MA703
Maxxis says the MA703 combines the responsiveness of a performance tyre with the high mileage capabilities of a touring tyre, resulting in a product that provides excellent traction in both wet and dry conditions. Tread design targets smooth handling at high speeds while the double-steel belt construction is designed to promote stability and longer life.
MA751 Bravo
Available in 36 sizes, from 155R13C to LT 275/70R16, the MA751 Bravo is an established favourite among sports truck/pick-up/4×4 users. The extra heavy-duty sidewall is designed for responsive handling and optimum traction on all terrains and the tyre features a double steel belt plus a jointless spiral-wrapped full nylon cap for improved durability.
