Matt Bell appointed Pirelli UK product training manager
Pirelli UK has announced the appointment of Matt Bell as product training manager for Pirelli UK; a new role aimed at training people from both inside and outside the company about aspects of the business. Bell will design training packages for Pirelli sales teams, customers and dealers to give them the product and corporate knowledge needed to carry out their roles in the most effective way, a company statement says.
Bell says: “This is a very exciting role because it’s so varied and makes such a valuable contribution to Pirelli as a whole. In the past, product training has been approached on an ad hoc basis, but now we’re streamlining everything within one internal department in order to give people the vital knowledge that they need to carry out their responsibilities in the most effective way. That can range from keeping the sales teams updated on the very latest developments in our range to providing fitters with technical information about how to work with our tyres, as well as informing key customers about our strategic positioning. I’m also looking forward to helping everyone who works at Pirelli find out more about the company and how their roles relate to the overall running of the business.”
Pirelli UK managing director Dominic Sandivasci added: “Matt is highly regarded, and ideally qualified to take on this important new role. I’m confident that he will be able to make a big impact and play a key role in formulating effective training programs for both customers and staff.”
Pirelli is to target bespoke courses at everyone from its own senior management, through key clients, to fitters who will be working with the tyres every day. Bell is also responsible for the training undertaken by Pirelli’s own staff.
After studying marketing at Brunel University in London, Bell joined Pirelli three and a half years ago, working his way up through the car and SUV divisions. The extensive product knowledge that he accumulated on the way makes him ideally qualified to head up Pirelli’s new product training division – putting all the company’s diverse training needs under one roof for the first time.
