MAM offers EDIWheel ordering compatible with Bridgestone, Continental, Goodyear-Dunlop, Michelin, Pirelli
MAM Software has announced that it has extended its electronic ordering module to include major tyre manufacturers Bridgestone, Continental, Goodyear-Dunlop, Michelin and Pirelli by utlising the EDIWheel e-commerce standard. According to the company, MAM's tyre ordering module allows users to easily check stock, place orders and see delivery schedules without having to phone suppliers or use browser-based portals. Working directly from within MAM's Autopart business management software, users can retrieve real-time stock availability, place immediate purchase orders and receive real-time line-level acknowledgements.
“EDIWheel is a natural progression of our extensive suite of Autonet e-commerce solutions” explained Nigel Clemett, MAM Software sales director. “Autonet is very well established in the automotive aftermarket and especially in the motor parts arena. Hundreds of our customers regularly use the software, ordering thousands of parts from dozens of suppliers every day. The efficiency and manpower savings are tremendous. Now the tyre trade can take full advantage and benefit as well.”
EDIWheel has been developed by the major European tyre manufacturers to enable their trade customers to benefit from the power of business-to-business (B2B) connectivity. EDIWheel is a commonly agreed e-commerce protocol, developed by the major tyre manufacturers to communicate on a business-to-business (B2B) basis with their trade customers. By conforming to EDIWheel, MAM’s Autopart software is compatible with any major European tyre manufacturer or tyre importer that has adopted the standard.
