Cam Systems launches EDIWheel support
Cam Systems has announced that it is supporting EDIWheel development with the launch of new Cameo functionality which will enable customers to deal automatically with purchase invoices and purchase credits. The Cameo V22 software will allow users to receive purchase invoices and purchase credits electronically via EDI-Wheel from their OEM suppliers and systematically match the originating Cameo purchase order against the manufacturer’s invoice or credit along with the corresponding Cameo goods inwards note (GIN). It automates the posting process where a systematic match has been achieved.
Auto Purchase Invoice/Credit and GIN Matching will also be available for dealers providing purchase orders to their wholesale suppliers. In addition, the software deals intuitively with any discrepancies, as Cameo highlights where the mismatch can be found – down to individual lines on both the Purchase Invoice or Purchase Credit and Goods Inwards Note.
Mike Allen, managing director, Cam Systems says: “For some years Cam has allowed its customers to use EDI to place orders electronically with OEMs Bridgestone, Continental, Goodyear-Dunlop, Michelin, Avon and Pirelli. At a time when rising tyre prices are putting the squeeze on dealer margins, we were adamant that our highest development priority for our electronic order management software to interface to EDIWheel was to remove cost out of customer operations and make valuable time savings. Auto Purchase Invoice/ Credit and GIN Matching does just that and our customers will be able to enjoy these benefits sooner rather than later.”
