Avon appoints Mileage Tyres as Irish distributor

Mullingar-based tyre dealer, Mileage Tyres, has been appointed as an official Avon Tyres distributor, the Cooper Tire-owned brand announced today. Mileage has operated in the Republic of Ireland for more than 20 years, and will now stock products from Avon’s passenger car, UHP and van ranges. The distributor’s sales director Steve Jackson said that the addition of Avon Tyres to its product offering will lead to an increase in footfall and profit for the company.

“Along with the budget brand we currently import and the vast range of branded tyres that we stock, the Avon brand and range will be a natural addition to our product lines,” said Jackson. “Avon’s tyres are quality products but have the added benefit of keeping their more affordable price tag. I’m confident that the Avon tyres we stock, especially for the family car market, will prove very popular with our customers.”

Nigel Hampson, sales & marketing director for Cooper Tire Europe, said: “Mileage Tyres is a firm with an excellent reputation and I am sure they will be a first-rate ambassador in Ireland for the Avon brand.” Mileage will make fitments in Avon’s ZT5 family car tyre, the ZV5, ZZ3 and ZZ5 ultra-high performance products and the AV9 van tyre available to customers, while it also said it will stock tyres from Avon’s comprehensive 4×4 range.
