TyreSafe starts contest to name crash test dummies
TyreSafe has announced an online competition for members of the public to name their new crash test dummies and be entered in a competition to win £50 in iTunes vouchers. The organisation says it has just “adopted” a family of four new animated crash test dummies, which will be used to help promote tyre safety. The family will give drivers tyre safety tips, information and advice. Entrance to the competition is accessed through the TyreSafe website at www.tyresafe.org/thenamegame, with the competition closing at 17:00 on 31 March.
Stuart Jackson, chairman of TyreSafe, explains: “Our dummies, which will feature in a range of online movies, posters and leaflets, are smarter than you might think as they will play an important part in helping reduce the number of tyre related accidents on our roads.
“This competition will be a great way of bringing them to life and help to educate even more drivers about the importance of looking after their tyres properly. We’ve already had some fun thinking of some possible names ourselves and we cannot wait for the entries to start coming in. I’m sure that there will be some very clever ones.”
