March 2011's issue of Tyres & Accessories, which contains features on 4×4 tyres, international wholesaling and tyre recovery and disposal, is now available online in our virtual e-paper format. Simply click more below to find out how you can read this product in all its glory via the Internet.
Global Trade
Wholesaling is a major aspect of the tyre business and Tyres & Accessories acknowledges that a ‘one size fits all’ approach cannot be taken when reporting on the many firms active in the tyre wholesaling trade.
For this reason we’ve decided to divide our wholesaling feature coverage into two separate parts in 2011. In March’s Tyres & Accessories we examine wholesalers based outside of the UK and the various aspects of their business – don’t miss our ‘International Wholesalers’ feature in your March edition of T&A.
4×4 Tyres
At the risk of causing sleepless nights spent anticipating the arrival of your favourite tyre industry periodical, the team and Tyres & Accessories is pleased to report that – in addition to the two topic areas mentioned above – your March edition also includes a feature section dedicated to 4×4 tyres.
Dispatch and Rebirth
Around half a million tonnes of end of life tyres are generated in the UK each year and 100 per cent of this – not counting the illegal activities of fly tippers and their like – is treated by one of several means; recent statistics from the European Tyre & Rubber Manufacturers’ Association shows that 45.1 per cent of end of life tyres in the UK are processed into other materials (and a further 8.5 per cent retreaded).
The uses for end of life tyres are continually growing, and therefore March’s ‘Tyre Collection, Recycling and Disposal’ feature is definitely worth a read.
