2011 Rewards offer greater choice, says Maxxis
This year, dealers participating in the Maxxis Rewards scheme can look forward to “some extra spice,” promises Maxxis International. The top prize for retailers taking part in the 2011 Maxxis Rewards is still an all expenses paid luxury holiday, however this year quarterly draw winners will be given the opportunity to choose their prizes, while all participants can earn cash to spend with High Street retailers via the new Maxxis rewards card. Adding icing to the cake are Take That concert tickets up for grabs plus new point of sale items and an updated promotional clothing range.
Based on Maxxis PCR tyre purchases (turnover) to the end of September, the top 15 retailers will enjoy a VIP trip that starts at the Phi Phi Island Cabana Resort Centre in the south of Thailand and includes a guided tour of the Maxxis plant in Rayong, which has recently undergone major redevelopment to increase capacity (Maxxis now has a daily output of 42,000 PCR tyres and 30,000 TBR tyres a day in Thailand). Retailers will get to see the complete manufacturing process at first hand, from the delivery of raw materials to manufacture, curing, inspection and despatch.
In May, Take That – recently voted Best Group at the Brit Awards – will embark on Progress Live, a 14-date tour of UK stadiums. Maxxis has obtained 12 pairs of VIP tickets and says it is delighted to give Maxxis Rewards participants the chance to attend the shows at Birmingham’s Villa Park. For every tyre purchased over a threshold of 150 tyres retailers will receive one entry into a ticket draw.
Also new to the Maxxis rewards for this year is the ‘Maxxis Love2Choose’ Rewards card, which gives the whole scheme added flexibility. Participating retailers who qualify will receive a card and can earn cash to spend with High Street retailers of their choice, thus giving the freedom to choose how and where rewards are spent. This freedom will extend to Maxxis Rewards quarterly prize draws. These draws, Maxxis comments, “proved extremely popular over the past couple of years,” and therefore they are making a return. This year, however, winners will receive £250 worth of Love2Choose credits, enabling retailers to select their own prizes.
Maxxis merchandise remains an important part of the Rewards programme for 2011, the tyre maker notes. Participating retailers can earn an updated range of promotional clothing and new Maxxis point of sale items. These include Grafikpod display units, a new product range leaflet, a suite of posters and a new 100 per cent Guarantee leaflet.
“The Maxxis Rewards scheme is our way of promoting the brand and saying thank you to those dealers who support us and the trade’s response just gets better and better,” says Maxxis International UK’s managing director Derek McMartin. “This year we have come up with some new elements, such as the Take That tickets and the Maxxis Rewards Card, and have made the programme more flexible by giving the winners more choice, which we hope will encourage more of the dealers that sell Maxxis car tyres to get involved.”
The Maxxis Rewards programme is organised in conjunction with Grouptyre, exclusive UK distributor of the Maxxis passenger car tyre range. Retailers can find out more about the 2011 Maxxis Rewards and the terms and conditions of the promotion at the grouptyre.co.uk website and can register to take part with their local Grouptyre business development manager.
