Tyreman promotes EDIWheel compatible e-Commerce solutions
Forward thinking companies have been investing in IT solutions as part of their business strategy for some time, but according to software supplier those investing in downtimes such as now are making the wisest decision.
“Whilst the temptation for many is to spend as little as possible on IT infrastructure, the reality is that a business that invests in their computer system to help perform the back office tasks in a branch, release staff to provide better customer service and concentrate on maximising margin. This is particularly important in the tough trading times the industry is currently experiencing,” company representatives wrote in a statement sent to Tyres & Accessories on 28 February.
EDIWheel compatibility
Tyreman v12 is the latest version of the company’s eponymous software. It incorporates a number of facilities including an integrated email service, which gives customers the benefit of being able to email documents rather than printing them, saving time and money. Tyreman representatives report that any implementation can offer “all kinds of website/internet solutions from template designs to full e-commerce solutions. One of the first solutions to incorporate EDIWheel for direct manufacturer online ordering, Tyreman claims: “you can rest assured that your business will always be at the forefront of software development within the tyre world.”
According to the company, Tyreman’s e-Commerce suite of products “continues to lead the way for on-line trading.” These include B2B (Business to Business – for trade customers), B2C (Business to Consumer – for retail sales), Depot Diary system and a handheld internet based solution for forecourt sales (Meet & Great). This method of serving customers at, or in, their own vehicles already allows the display of the new tyre labels needed to conform with regulations coming into the industry in 2012.
Integration into the Tyreman v12 software allows swift processing of orders with minimal effort. Automated response (SMS or e-mail) to any orders placed can alert the buyer that his order has been received. This gives a high level of customer confidence and satisfaction when using the system. Whilst the software handles the order placement with ease, the overall control remains user definable and any aspect of the order can be adjusted before fulfilment.
In addition, Tyreman’s hosted solution providies low cost start-up options allowing anyone with a broadband connection to take advantage of this facility. This avoids the added expense and time of purchasing and maintaining a local server.
Tyreman has been providing technology solutions to all sectors of the tyre and exhaust market for over 25 years, including many leading players in retail, wholesale and mail order.
