Snap-on presents new N2 nitrogen generator
Snap-on Equipment has announced its new N2 Generator nitrogen inflation system, available under the Hofmann and John Bean brands. The mobile unit for motorcycle, car, caravan, 4X4 and LCV tyres generates nitrogen at a rate of 4,380 litres per hour. Snap-on says nitrogen inflation will help extend tyre life, lower fuel consumption and reduce tyre wear, therefore improving grip, handling and safety due to much slower tyre pressure loss, as nitrogen particles are larger than oxygen.
Chris Behan, general manager at Snap-on Equipment, comments: “Nitrogen tyre inflation has been used for some time in the aerospace and motorsport sectors and now offers a new chance for workshops to adding value for customers and improve retention. Our new N2 Generator offers the ideal nitrogen filling solution for a wide range of vehicles and comes with the peace of mind offered by our best in class two-year warranty and the quality and service backup you would expect from a member of the Snap-on family.”
Providing customers with the option of nitrogen fill when they purchase new tyres, as well as top-ups during the life of the tyres, can be used as an opportunity building customer loyalty, retention and ultimately more business for the workshop, Snap-on argues. The supplier is also distributing point of sale material to purchasers of the N2 Generator for promotional purposes.
