Retread Tire Association to discuss safety with SAE

United States organisation the Retread Tire Association has announced that it will be represented at the Society of Automotive Engineers Work Truck Safety Committee meeting in Las Vegas on 24 March. It will discuss the safety, economic and environmental benefits of using retreads on ready mix concrete trucks.

Harvey Brodsky, managing director of the RTA will be accompanied by one or more members from the Las Vegas area who will answer technical questions. “We are always looking for opportunities to promote the use of retreads and to answer questions from those who may have doubts about the efficiency of retreads on their types of vehicles,” said Brodsky. “Those of us in the retread industry know that top quality retreads can be used on all types of vehicles, including ready mix concrete trucks.”

Participants do not need to be members of SAE or NRMCA, nor do they need to be registered for the Con Expo/Con-Agg convention to attend.
