Kings of 4×4 Tyres?
KRT has been marketing and distributing tyres for the past four decades having become one of the largest independent tyre distributors in the UK and Ireland. According to the company, 4×4/SUV tyres are a “very important part” of their growing business, which became a new focus when the company added the Cooper range of Light Truck, 4×4 and SUV tyres to their line up 10 years ago. During this time the Cooper brand name has reportedly grown dramatically. And the range of fitments and patterns in the Cooper portfolio enables KRT to cover “the majority of every requirement.”
The most recent addition to the range is the Zeon 4XS UHP SUV tyre, which sits well alongside the XSTa, Discoverer H/T, ATR, AT, S/T & STT, the latter being the most extreme for off road conditions.
Tim Bader, marketing manager for KRT commented: “The demand for Cooper 4×4 tyres is growing year on year along with the awareness of the brand.”
KRT has recently attended exhibitions at Cereals, Brityrex and more recently Lamma, to further promote the brand to the end user and to support their trade customers. Bader commented on how knowledgeable end users are about the Cooper range. “I was surprised by just how much interest was shown in the tyres we displayed. Farmers and 4×4 users alike are seeing Cooper as an ideal replacement for the OE tyre. Those who already had Coopers fitted highly recommended them for excellent mileage and superb traction off road.”
Moving forward, the company is looking forward to the launch of Cooper’s Discoverer ATS pattern, which is schedule for release in the third quarter of 2011.
