Italian firm brings KRK forged truck wheels to the UK
Casalini Industriale Srl has announced plans to introduce KRK branded aluminium commercial vehicle wheels into the truck and bus market. Following Manchester-based Motor Wheel Services decision to introduce its xlite forged range as a competitor to a market segment dominated by Alcoa produced products, the decision to introduce the KRK brand is being seen as an indication of further competition.
KRK Wheels are reportedly produced in the Czech Republic by means of a joint-venture company between Casalini’s Pisa-based headquarters and the as yet unnamed manufacturing facility. The wheels will be distributed under the same name in both of the joint venture partners’ domestic markets – Italy and Czech Republic.
Casalini is already active in a number of European countries – particularly those in the East and South of the continent. However, the firm also has routes to market in France and Spain. Rightnow it is without a partner in the UK, meaning Casalini is still on the lookout for volunteers.
As far as marketing of the new products is concerned, KRK wheels will be aiming at a price point lower than xlite and Alcoa produced wheel technology.
However the company’s press office reports that the newest wheel is most comparable to the dura-bright products and has a comparable warranty to match. KR K Wheels are come with an anti-scratch, five-year warranted. The wheel also comes with anti-scratch and even matt finishes.
The products are available in two main sizes: 22.5×9.00 and 22.5×11.75.
