Quinton Tyres Opens New Head Office
Tyre supplier and fleet service provider Quinton Tyres has consolidated its operations at three sites into a single location. The new 28,000 square foot site in Dukinfield was set up with a ₤1.35 million investment and will act as a base for Quinton’s entire operations, including mobile tyre fitting, sales, accounts, marketing and a new retail on-site fitting facility.
Quinton Tyres was established in 2004 and prior to the move had traded from two sites in Dukinfield and one in nearby Audenshaw. The new base houses all operations for Quinton Tyres and its sister company Global Remould Services including sales, marketing, accounts, wholesale and mobile tyre fitting. The facility has also allowed Quinton to launch a new on-site fitting facility for retail customers.
Quinton supplies products from all of the leading tyre manufacturers direct to wholesalers and end users. Dukinfield. Customers include hauliers, bus and coach companies and operators of agricultural and industrial machinery.
Sister company Global Remould Services has also relocated to the new base. It sources and supplies used tyre casings back to the original manufactures, which can then be recycled and made into new tyres.
Quinton employs 20 people and reports an annual turnover of £3.4 million.
Managing director Stuart Quinn said: “Operating from three different sites was not ideal and limited our plans to develop the business. Bringing everything together under one roof has been a priority for some time and we are delighted to have finished the move. The new building allows us to operate more efficiently and means we can offer customers additional services such as an on site tyre fitting facility. The new retail fitting service will be of great convenience to the vast number of people working in the area, meaning they can get new tyres fitted on their lunch break with minimum hassle.”
Simon Jones, relationship director at NatWest, said: “The new building is very impressive and makes a real statement about Quinton’s aspirations. They have recently moved their banking to NatWest and we look forward to working with them on future projects.”
