Maxxis ATV, 4×4 Range Offers Agricultural Applications
Maxxis International’s large ATV and 4×4 range makes the company’s tyres a suitable option for agricultural workers’ lighter transport needs. Maxxis is an accredited original equipment supplier to Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, Polaris and Suzuki, giving it a track record of producing all-terrain tyres which perform across a variety of applications. In the Trailermaxx range, Maxxis also offers a line of high-speed trailer tyres.
The E-marked Maxxis Wildcat C828 is legal for ATVs that are used mainly in fields, but which are used on the road occasionally too. It has self-cleaning capability and durability, making it a UK ATV favourite in farming and leisure markets, according to the manufacturer. In the E-marked Sur Trak (C9208), Maxxis has developed a utility ATV tyre which produces extra grip on the hillside, yet is also road legal. Available in sizes AT22x11.00-8 2PR TL to AT26x12.00-12 2PR TL, the Sur Trak has a durable nylon carcass for improved puncture resistance plus dual traction lugs and a multidirectional tread design.
Trailermaxx is a range of high speed trailer tyres which the company says deliver improved fuel economy and tread life along with low noise and a smooth ride. They are available in a large number of sizes and speed ratings, from the CR966 145 R10 82/84N 8pr – which is designed to carry more weight – to products such as the 5.00-10 8pr, the 155/70 R12C and the 185/60 R12C.
Maxxis claims to possess one of the UK’s biggest 4×4 ranges, and with agricultural workers’ reliance on 4×4 vehicles Maxxis believes it serves a wide range of vehicles on the market, including what the company says is the biggest complete range to fit Land Rover 16” rims in the UK. The all-terrain Maxxis MA-752 has all-position large block tread design and heavy duty sidewalls, delivering added durability and better handling on- and off-road. The MT-753 mud radial has double steel belts for long-lasting wear and uniformity and a jointless spiral-wrapped full nylon cap, which gives added strength and stability. Open shoulder lugs ensure superb self-cleaning capabilities, while the tread design delivers excellent traction both on and off-road.
The Buckshot Mudder (MT-754) for year-round on- and off-road driving, the Bighorn (MT-762) radial, which is pinned for studs and is available in a range of sizes from 30×9.50 R15LT to LT315/75 R16, the Creepy Crawler (M-8090) extreme off-road tyre and the Trepador radial (M-8060) for improved handling on uneven wet and dry surfaces complete Maxxis’ farm-suited range.
