Malaysian Distributor Visits Federal Tyres
More than 30 guests of A-One Tyres, Federal Tyre's sole distributor in Malaysia, recently attended a training weekend in Chungli, Taiwan.
In the conference room, A-One Tyres’ partners were given information about Federal’s profile and its achievements in the more than five decades since the company was founded. The party then divided into two groups to tour the state-of-art manufacturing facility and see how the tyres are manufactured, including information on R&D, with simulation models of different tyre compounds, such as Silica in the final stage.
To provide its dealers with all of the knowledge and professionalism they need to increase domestic sales, Federal Tyres organised a fully interactive presentation that allowed dealership personnel to learn the basics about the construction of Federal premium tyres, and review product information in a relaxed atmosphere.
Jason Lee, a representative of the company’s motorsports division, spoke of Federal’s latest involvement with motorsports and accolades achieved. Highlights of Federal’s racing season last year in Malaysia were to be named as the control tyre supplier to the Malaysian Super Series (MSS) Championship, and the Sepang 1000km (S1K) endurance race.
The weekend was not all hard work, however, and the dealers were treated to a tour of many of the must-see sights of Taiwan, including the National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, the National Palace Museum and the Taipei 101 Shopping Mall, with its breathtaking panoramic view of the city of Taipei from the observatory floor. The trip concluded with a visit to the 80 metre-high waterfall at Wulai.
Speaking about the weekend, Lee Wei Fong, General Manager of A One Tyres, said: “The name Federal Tyres is synonymous with quality, durability and a competitive price. It is an outstanding value proposition for our existing customer base, but more importantly, it will be our flagship brand in the speciality tyre segment.”
