Chinese Tyre Machinery Maker BJ Hanch Looks to Export Markets
Current annual production stands at 100 units a year, with annual turnover totalling 400 million yuan. The main customers, which include names known to European tyre import business such as Shandong Jinyu and Yongtai Chemical, reside within the People's Republic. Less than 10 per cent of production is exported.
That said the company reports that it plans to develop its export business depending on market conditions. The intention is to further develop the “excellent local support” the company's products and services have been receiving before moving into the export business. In the meantime domestic demand is described as a “more than sufficient opportunity.”

Company engineers report that their equipment is already “very excellent” with regards to this segment and product. BJ Hanch representatives told Tyres & Accessories that the equipment manufacturer began developing – and tentatively launched – a similar one stage machine some years ago. However, in the interests of further product development the decision was invest further in the research into this kind of product with a view to making the best possible product.
The R&D department is said to be at an advanced stage of development with this production having embarked on some very technical sounding “deep research” in recent months. As a result the company is aiming to come back to market with the one-stage equipment at some point in the first half of 2011.
The company already offers one-stage truck/bus radial and light truck radial manufacturing machines. However passenger car, truck and bus radial tyre builders are said to represent the main part of the business, following by OTR tyre production equipment. BJ Hanch also offers two and three stage manufacturing machines.
When it comes to the “deep research” and product development that is critical in the tyre manufacturing equipment business BJ Hanch source much of its technical staff and know-how from Beijing Rubber Research Institute, which is said to be the Alma Mater of “some great engineers.”
