2010 a Record Year for Infinity Tyres
Infinity Tyres Europe reports that 2010 was the brand’s biggest ever sales year both in terms of unit sales and turnover. Company representatives told Tyres & Accessories that there were a number of prevailing factors contributing to the achievement including: a prominent presence in Hall 3 at Reifen 2010; a new, clear brand concept “Welcome to Infinity World”; heavy multi-lingual national trade press advertising campaign; focus on key patterns, key sizes and competitive pricing.
Just six years after Infinity tyres first became available in Europe, Infinity has quickly established a credible distributor network in key markets and invested in a brand awareness programme. As well as appointing key partners to cover major markets in Germany, Italy, UK, France and Spain, successful distributor partnerships are now well established in Benelux, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Poland and Hungary.
Such is the demand and interest in the Infinity brand that new exciting developments within “green shoot” markets have reportedly been forthcoming, with new distributor agreements recently signed up to cover Greece, Belarus, Lithuania, Bosnia, Latvia, Israel,
Cyprus.
Aligned to the investment in the brand and the maturing of the distributor network is the manufacturers’ enhanced commitment to research, design, product development and testing. The brand supplying factory (Shandong Linglong) recently appointed a number of new tyre professionals and also announced a series of technological investments, ranging from increasing capacity through to the building of a new on-site tyre test track facility.
Clive Mansfield, sales manager (Western Europe) commented: “We have had a fantastic level of interest in Infinity in 2010. With the investment in the infrastructure and the promotional support behind the brand, we have been able to respond to the interest and the orders placed, meeting our customer’s needs. 2010 has been a great year and we are very confident of increasing the unit sales and turnover levels in 2011.”
