Beissbarth 2011 Range Includes 3 New Changers; 2 New Wheel Balancers
Based on the principles of the need for quick and efficient tyre servicing, especially in the peak seasons of spring and autumn; the variety of staff experience used in workshops to deal with the high turnover and any customer inquires; and the ability to deal with increasingly popular runflat and ultra high performance tyres, Beissbarth says that the market is now placing increased quality demands on the tyre fitting process. At Automechanika in Frankfurt, the company showcased three new tyre changers and two new balancers for tyre service and contracted workshops, which it says fulfil all of the requirements for quick and easy tyre service. All three changers are certified for fitting RFT and UHP tyres by the Trade Association of the German Rubber Industry (WDK).
The company’s new MS 65 OR.RAC ADH standard tyre changer has a special tension rod, which pulls the tyre bead over the rim flange, even with RFT and UHP tyres. The clamping plate is movable for greater flexibility, while the speed can be controlled continuously without steps via a pedal, which is another new feature on the model. The new standard machine is suitable for tyres with a maximum diameter of 1000mm or an exterior rim clamp of 26″ with a rim width of up to 14″. The previous MS 65 OR.RAC model can be retrofitted with the equipment for automatic fitting; the automatic demounting head.
The new MS 68 NG tyre changer has been specially developed for changing runflat and UHP tyres. The special machine is therefore especially suitable for workshops in the premium segment, says Beissbarth. The user can simultaneously release the tyre beads and clamp the tyres with the pneumatic hub centring clamping flange, saving time. In addition, the newly developed connection piece provides an increase in torque transmission on the rim, which Beissbarth explains is essential on difficult to fit tyres. The new, mobile and ergonomically designed operating unit gives the user more freedom to move. Using the MS 68 NG tyre fitting device, passenger and commercial vehicle tyres with a rim diameter of up to 30” can now be fitted on steel or aluminium rims.
Its lockable automatic demounting head, pneumatic hub centring clamping flange, synchronously adjustable release rollers with “secondary stroke”, wheel lift and remote control made the new MS 600 tyre changer the new showpiece of the Beissbarth range. The changer is compatible with all UHP and Run Flat tyres, offering the highest degree of flexibility via the 1~230 V inverter motor, which enables the tyres to turn millimetre-by-millimetre. The machine is suitable for tyres with a maximum diameter of 1100 mm or an exterior rim clamp of 30” with a rim width of up to 20”. It will be available from January 2011.
Beissbarth says its new MT 847 balancing machine is user-friendly enough for those relatively new to the process. The interactive menu navigation on its digital LCD display helps to make operation easier, with all functions involved in determining the measurement result, such as wheel data entry, taking place automatically using a data arm. The user can select where the balance weights are to be operated using the various templates. It can handle wheels with a width of 20” and a rim diameter of 26”.
The new, ultra-slim MT 867 wheel balancer is operated using a touchpad, featuring an interactive menu navigation that provides assistance to the user. A data arm is also available on the MT 867 model, enabling the parameters required for the measurement result to be automatically recorded, and the results subsequently displayed on a TFT monitor. Its large flat surfaces for the balancing weights are particularly practical for the user. The machine is suitable for wheels with a rim diameter of up to 26″ and a width of 20″. Beissbarth is pitching the new machine in the mid-range price segment for dealerships, independent automotive businesses and contracted workshops. The new balancers will both be available from January 2011.
In addition to its Automechanika displayed products, Beissbarth secured worldwide approval from Daimler AG for its MS 65 tyre changer and its MT 885 wheel balancer.
