Thompson Commercials Chooses xlite Wheels

Thompson Commercials, the largest private Renault Trucks dealer in the UK, has ordered 10 sets of xlite forged aluminium wheels for a new fleet of Premium 460.25 6×2 tractor units. The purchase of the 8.25 x 22.5-inch wheels was made after a customer specifically requested the product to further improve the vehicles’ class-leading fuel efficiency and payload capacity.

Dave Woods, commercial sales specialist for Thompson Commercials, which operates throughout the North East of England through seven depots, said: “First and foremost this was very much a price driven purchase, the xlite range being excellent value for money for a forged aluminium wheel. That said, now we have witnessed the quality and performance of the product ourselves, we will definitely be looking at future orders.”
