Norbert Hecking Appointed Goodyear Dunlop UK Market Supply Chain Director
Goodyear Dunlop Tyres UK Limited has announced that Norbert Hecking, currently Market Supply Chain director Middle East and Africa, has been appointed as Market Supply Chain director UK & Ireland. Hecking joins the UK and Ireland organisation reporting to MD George Rietbergen and functionally to Rob Scholte, vice president Supply Chain Europe, Middle East and Africa. Hecking replaces Steve Carless, who will be leaving the company at the end of the year to pursue a new opportunity outside of the tyre industry.
Hecking has been part of the European organisation since 1997 starting at Goodyear Dunlop Germany as manager of its Customer Service Department, progressing through the company to his current role. He brings with him a wealth of experience in logistics and supply chain within the Goodyear Dunlop organisation. With his experience of three years leading the Supply Chain organisation in the Middle East and previous roles in Supply Chain in Germany, Hecking offers a solid knowledge and experience which will give continued success.
“I am looking forward to joining the UK and Ireland business. My vision is to excel in all aspects of supply chain in order to achieve maximum customer satisfaction. I also wish to integrate easy and simplified processes to always maintain the ‘customer comes first’ principle,” said Hecking.
George Rietbergen: “We are delighted that Norbert has accepted this exciting challenge within the UK and Ireland organisation. Norbert’s extensive experience within our business and within the area of supply chain will assist us in maintaining and building upon our already strong customer relationships.
“We wish Steve well in his future career; Steve developed our supply and logistics network with great dynamism and established a strong platform for Norbert to develop further. We are grateful for what Steve has contributed in his years with Goodyear and wish him every success for the future.”
