Michelin North America Truck Tire Division Wins Image Award
Michelin North America’s truck tyre division was recently honoured by the American Trucking Associations (ATA) with the 2010 Mike Russell “Good stuff” Trucking Image Award as the industry supplier winner, reports Tire Review. The award, which recognizes those that creatively generate positive awareness of the trucking industry, was presented to company officials at the annual ATA Management Conference and Exhibition last week in Phoenix, Arizona.
“Michelin promotes a positive image and awareness of the trucking industry through a number of programmes and partnerships, through our people, and most of all, through our innovative products that we supply to fleets and owner-operators,” said Ted Becker, vice president of marketing, Michelin Americas Truck Tires. “Michelin helps promote the trucking industry as essential, safe and sustainable, so it is an honor to be recognized with the ATA ‘Good stuff’ image award.”
More than 100 award submissions were evaluated by an impartial panel of judges based on creativity, execution and reach/impact. The award is named in honour of the late Mike Russell, a trucking industry supporter and media official who helped develop the “Good stuff. Trucks Bring It.” campaign as vice president of Public Affairs for the American Trucking Associations.
