Micheldever Jumps to 90th in Sunday Times Top Track 250
Recent growth at the Micheldever Group has driven the firm up to 90th place in the prestigious Sunday Times Top Track 250 list of the most successful mid-market privately owned companies. With just the Top Track 100 of the biggest private companies in the UK above it, this puts progress in the business into context. Micheldever first entered the Sunday Times list in 2006 in 184th position and in the intervening three years has jumped an amazing 94 places with the group’s sales in the last financial year reaching over £275 million.
Micheldever has been joined in the league table, which ranks Britain’s biggest mid-market private companies by their latest sales figures, by Axle Group who own National Tyres & Autocare, as well as Viking who are in 217th place. Companies in the league table span a wide range of industries from Harrods to Manchester United and Gatwick Airport to Travelodge. The combined revenue of the 250 companies is £65.2 billion which is the equivalent of 5 per cent of UK GDP.
Commenting on the group’s performance Paul Fox Chief Executive said: “We are absolutely delighted to have risen so swiftly up the Sunday Times Top Track 250 list. It is a reflection of the continuous efforts of our dedicated and highly professional team of people here at Micheldever, all against the backdrop of economic conditions that remain challenging.”
