MAI and Heuver Sign European Distribution Deal
In a major initiative, the MAI Group has appointed Netherlands-based wholesaler Heuver Bandengroothandel as the exclusive distributor of its MAXAM range of OTR and earthmover tyres in no fewer than 18 European countries. Speaking from the company's Verona headquarters, MAI Group’s European Sales manager Kevin Buckley described the agreement as "a fantastic deal for both parties".
He went on: “Heuver Bandengroothandel is a major player in the European EM tyre market and the agreement will greatly enhance MAXAM’s presence across the continent.”
For Heuver Bandengroothandel, Bert van ‘t Holt, manager EM tyres, said that the addition of the MAXAM range was very welcome. “The demand for cost-effective EM tyres has grown in recent years,” he said, “and MAXAM tyres represent excellent value for money.”
MAXAM tyres are designed and engineered in Europe, but manufacturing is carried out at the MAI Group factory in Shandong province, China. This combination of technical excellence, rigorous quality control and lower manufacturing costs results in high quality tyres at an attractive price.
Kevin Buckley is keen to stress that the competitive price is not achieved at the expense of quality, pointing out that every MAXAM tyre produced is thoroughly inspected and x-rayed prior to despatch and that the company offers a five-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
As well as value for money, another plus for Heuver Bandengroothandel was the breadth of the MAXAM range of products, with tyres designed for a variety of construction and mining machines and tread designs to suit a number of different applications and working conditions.
