Infinity Tyres Raises Record Sum for BEN at NTDA Dinner
The recent NTDA annual dinner held in Manchester saw Infinity Tyres donate two return air tickets from London to Dubai (home of the Al Dobowi Group– owners of the Infinity brand). The tickets were auctioned by Peter Gaster, former NTDA chairman and raised £1600 for the BEN charity, which is reportedly a record for the event.
David Main, chief executive of BEN, commented: “We are hugely indebted to the kind donation and benevolent thoughts of the Al Dobowi Group, Infinity Tyres and Harjeev Kandhari. BEN relies on the generosity of people like Mr Kandhari – it costs a lot of money for us to provide the care, support and advice for employees and dependants from the automotive and related industries in times of personal need. In addition to funding specific individual requirements, we also run four residential centres around the country – this is only possible with donations such as this. Thank you!”
Harjeev Kandhari, who was present at the NTDA dinner, added: “It was a pleasure to be able to make such a donation. The charity does some tremendous work in our industry and we are committed to a strategy of ongoing corporate social responsibility initiatives – this is just one of many. We are delighted that the auction went so well – thank you to all those who made a bid, and we wish the winners an enjoyable visit to Dubai.”
