HiQ ‘In the Pink’ This Month
When the HiQ network promised to go pink during October, it wasn’t disclosing plans to see the popular singer in concert. No, it meant that during the month of October, the fast-fitter’s 150 centres are going all out to help hit the £100,000 target for its chosen charity, Breast Cancer Care, with every outlet challenged to raise £275 for the cause.
As many motorists will have already seen, HiQ online has been ‘splatted’ with pink to officially kick off proceedings, and the company is donating a pound to the charity every time a tyre, MOT or service is booked online. A number of centres are now pulling out the stops to do their bit, with Easy Tyre & Autocentres already planning a sponsored tyre roll on Saturday October 16. In addition, a day of fundraising activities will take place at Brands Hatch for the final round of the British Touring Car Championship on Sunday October 10.
“We raised so much money last year and if we get a fraction of the sum we raised in 2009 we will be ecstatic,” said HiQ’s marketing manager Geraldine McGovern. “The supporters have always been a massive pillar of support for us at HiQ in everything we do, and it will just be great to see them all again as a thrilling season comes to a close.”
