ECI Partners With Capexil for Tyrexpo India 2011
ECI International, the organiser of the new Tyrexpo India planned for 5 – 7 July 2011, has announced a strategic alliance with Capexil, the Indian Government-sponsored agency responsible for the promotion of the country’s tyre and rubber exporters. According to ECI, the link means the agency – which reports to India’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry – will work closely with ECI to maximise opportunities for Indian suppliers to promote themselves to potential export customers.
Outlining the scope of the agreement, Capexil director Mr A.K.Chakraborti, commented: “Our objective in working jointly with ECI for Tyrexpo 2011 aims to increase visibility, promote brand image and develop contacts with overseas buying groups and distributors. We also want to work with potential partners to enhance the competitiveness of the Indian tyre and tubes industry and explore business opportunities for third country export.”
Paul Farrant, managing director of ECI International, welcomed the association, saying: “Linking up with Capexil is a significant step which provides official Government recognition of Tyrexpo India. We know the event will attract hundreds of international visitors and exhibitors who will be interested in working with Indian exporters, providing them with the opportunity to increase their overseas sales and presence on a global basis.”
ECI reports that positive early response to the new event has prompted the organiser to reserve a second exhibition hall at the Chennai Trade Centre where the show will run to accommodate participants. Among the companies already committed to the show are BKT, Omni United, Elgi Rubber, Rubberking, Sundaram Industries, Unipatch, Steinbichler, Koba Banden and Malhotra Rubbers. Another exhibitor Swiss-based Luwa – which has an Indian subsidiary – will also be present.
