Viking Implements New Online Ordering Service
Viking International reports that its online ordering service is “now even easier” with the addition of credit card processing. An account management area enables customers to view order history, statements and invoices to help keep track of their account. A new feature allowing customers to pay by credit or debit card will be available from 1 October.
Tyres are displayed by size, speed rating or price according to the customer’s preference, with special offers highlighted for ease of use. Exhausts and batteries are easily looked up by the product part code or simply by the vehicle make and model. Customers can also order consumables according to category. All information is in real time, so pricing and stock are constantly updated, enabling dealers to offer their customers an immediate quotation.
A unique customisation tool also allows customers to adapt the website for their own use, uploading their own logo, changing the colour-scheme to match their own as well as displaying their own retail prices on-screen.
24 hour ordering
In addition Viking International has opened a new sales office which will offer a 24 hour ordering service for Viking customers. The sales office, which launched in July, will shortly offer customers a true round the clock service operating 24 hours, seven days-a-week and 365 days a year. Customers need only call 0845 205 55 16 to place their order, whatever the hour.
Staff members have completed a robust training programme to familiarise them with the Viking product portfolio and ensure they are equipped to deal with customer orders and queries. A number of the team have moved across from sister company, National Fleet, already having a good working knowledge of the company’s products and processes.
Kevin Parker, managing director, Viking International, commented: “The new sales office will be beneficial to both the company and our customers. Our sales team will be under one roof for a more unified ordering process, and the 24 hour ordering will offer customers a greater degree of flexibility and improve overall service.”
