Michelin YouTube Video Illustrates “Worrying” Tyre Maintenance Attitudes
Michelin has released a YouTube video to highlight drivers’ lax attitudes to tyre pressure maintenance. The video uses puppets to highlight some of the worrying attitudes of people to tyre maintenance. It was created by the aptly-named Puppet Broadcasting Company.
The attitudes of the general public towards caring for their tyres that prompted the video have, according to the manufacturer, been revealed numerous times to members of Michelin’s Fill Up With Air team that tours the UK and Ireland each year checking tyre pressures. In the video, these outlooks are supplanted into the rubber mouths of various characters, including a boy-racer, a sales rep and a middle-class woman in an attempt to educate motorists of the importance of looking after their tyres and how easy it is to get into the habit of never checking them at all.
