Klarius Opens Netherlands Warehouse
The Klarius Group has continued to invest and expand across Europe since its acquisition of Quinton Hazell in February of this year. Latterly the exhaust manufacturer opened a new Emission Control Distribution Centre at the existing facility in the Netherlands. The new dedicated Klarius distribution centre is fully integrated with the 1700 square meter Quinton Hazell facility already occupying the site. The warehouse now stocks 3700 different exhausts, 1100 catalytic converters and 1400 mounting and ancillary components; from September it will also stock a full range of Lambda Sensors.
Paul Hannah, International Business Development Director for Klarius commented: “As an already extremely successful and well established business the QH site in the Netherlands provided the ideal opportunity for us to take advantage of our new economies of scale and make use of the existing sales and administration structures, while expanding capacity to address an important EU market.”
Klarius exhaust products offer the Dutch aftermarket access to a range that covers over 96 per cent of the EU car parc including virtually all production cars on the road today that could require a replacement exhaust.
Paul van Diemen, general manager for the Netherlands, added: “The Dutch market expects high quality and excellent availability, we can now meet that demand supplying to anywhere in the Netherlands from-stock on a same-day service. The products are manufactured in the UK in a plant with the very latest cutting-edge lean production techniques and our own test track to support a full type-approval policy. We can use our short-run flexible manufacturing techniques to guarantee availability of even difficult to source products and at a level of quality demanded by the Dutch public, at a fraction of the OE replacement cost.”
