In the meantime – while you wait for this year’s show to start – here’s what Tyres & Accessories publisher Klaus Haddenbrock had to say about this year’s Brityrex:
“Since its inception in the 1970s, Brityrex has continued to evolve alongside the constantly changing face of the British and global tyre industry. With the subsidence of the worldwide economic turmoil experienced in the past two years, 2010’s show will provide an excellent opportunity for exhibitors and visitors alike to seek a broader perspective of the business as it stands in this post-recession period.
“Of course, the end of the recession does not signal a time of absolute stability; with the introduction of tyre labelling on the UK and wider European market not much more than a year away, manufacturers and distributors will be predicting the potential effects of this legislation on their business.
“Your presence at a show located in one of the key markets to be affected by these changes provides you with the perfect opportunity to prepare for what is to come.
“A look at the exhibitors list for Brityrex 2010 proves that the show is once again a venue for both returning exhibitors and fresh faces, allowing visitors to attain the twin expo objectives of meeting up with existing customers and seeking avenues for new business. In 2007, we noted that Asia and Eastern Europe were continuing to emerge; perhaps now it is fair to say that what little of these markets was still submerged is now very much visible, an impression supported by their strong representation at this year’s show.
“As Brityrex 2010’s official media sponsor, Tyres & Accessories shares the show’s evolutionary characteristics. Since the 2007 show, the company has produced two updated websites updated with news from around the globe on every business day.
“Tyrepress.com offers unparalleled online coverage of tyre business news with new features, such as e-Magazine publishing, an improved business directory system and rich media presentation.
“In addition to the website, the publication has a daily e-Newsletter service with condensed versions of cutting-edge news. Having modernised its presentation, the tyrepress.com e-Newsletter has over 15,500 readers, an increase of 500 per cent since the last show, showing its effectiveness as a medium for both news coverage and advertising.
“Another innovation for the media sponsor since the last Brityrex is PneusNews.it, an Italian-language website and e-Newsletter focused on the tyre business in Italy launched earlier this year.
“Tyres & Accessories would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the show’s organiser ECI International in anticipation of the success of the next three days. We have supported Brityrex since its first edition in the 1970s, and look forward to contributing to its success in the future. In addition, we wish all who come through the doors of Manchester Central a productive exhibition.”
