OTR to Promote ‘Tyre Hire’ Scheme at RWM

OTR Tyres Ltd is to exhibit at the Recycling and Waste Management Exhibition (RWM) again this year OTR to promote the benefits of OTR Tyre Hire, a service exclusively designed for the waste management industry in addition to the company’s range of new and retreaded solid, cushion and pneumatic tyres.

Steve Clipperton, OTR’s Waste Industry Manager, stated: “We have been working with our customers in the waste industry for many years, addressing their key problem areas – punctures, downtime and wear rates – which all add up to tyre cost per hour. Our management solutions – no matter what size of organisation – are focused on that key issue.”

In addition, the provision of OTR Fil tyres – polyurethane filled puncture resistant tyres – offers a cost effective long-term solution to tyre related machine downtime in hazardous environments. According to the company, Fil tyres are guaranteed and can be retreaded up to three times, depending on casing quality – giving further cost savings and environmental benefits on replacement tyres. The OTR Fil service is available at depots throughout the  UK. OTR also provide a nationwide repairs service on tyres up to 57 inches, with all repairs carried out to original manufacturer recommendations.

In addition to ISO 9001:2000 approval OTR recently gained both ISO 14001:2004 and OHAS 18001:2007. OTR’s Safety & Training Manager, Colin Marshall, commented: “The ISO 14001 was awarded because our ‘environmental management system’ met the required standards. All OTR staff have ISO training to ensure the standards set by the company are maintained in all areas of operation.”
