Get Your Studs in Line With Gaither
The UK garage and workshop equipment market is a highly competitive one, and Gaither Tools is developing a name for itself through the range it offers. Recently the company launched another product in the UK – the O Liner. This Gaither patented tool has been specifically designed to make it even easier to line up wheel studs with rim holes, thereby minimising installation time. When combined with Gaither’s existing Wheel Dolly, this new product makes positioning a wheel back onto a hub an even safer and straightforward procedure. Gaither reports that O Liner effectively reduces the risk of injury when dealing with heavy tyres and rims.
“Quite simply, the O Liner, when used in partnership with our Wheel Dolly, creates a new added dimension in manual wheel changing at just a fraction of the cost of most of our competitors,” commented Ralph Dubbeldam, sales and marketing manager at Gaither’s European base in Roosendaal, The Netherlands.
Another popular product in the Gaither Tool range that is proving popular is the Lift-Bag. The company reports this item has become increasingly in demand worldwide since its launch in 2007. This low profile tool can lift up to 20 tonnes and Gaither says it has ‘completely revolutionised’ how vehicles are lifted. Its round shape facilitates additional height ability and the Lift-Bag is designed to fit under all vehicles including cars, trucks, buses, industrial, agricultural and off-road vehicles. The Lift Bag offers two lifting options, either under the axle or you can drive onto the bag and work from the side, front or rear of the vehicle as required. The manufacturer adds that positioning the bag is considered easier than a standard jack and it is easily manoeuvrable by using the handle and front wheels.
Gaither says that both the O-Liner and Lift Bag created a lot of interest at the Reifen 2010 show in Germany several months ago. Another of the company’s priorities at the show was to further enhance its UK and European distribution team. Gaither Europe states it currently has 80 per cent coverage but “welcomes the opportunity” of discussing partnership options in Norway, Finland, Greece, Turkey plus the UK and Ireland.
Looking to the future, Dubbeldam expresses confidence the company is gathering momentum in the market through the development of new products, and it holds the distinction of being recommended by Michelin. “When it comes to manual tools, Michelin insist that their own personnel (and customer’s staff) are exclusively trained on Gaither machinery,” he said. “Therefore we can move forward with extreme confidence as the leading and preferred choice of the industry for manual tyre changing tools.”
