ViaMichelin Launches Free iPhone Traffic App

ViaMichelin, French tyremaker’s Michelin’s online mapping service, has launched a mobile application offering real-time UK traffic information, free of charge to iPhone owners. The announcement follows the launch of the Michelin guide iPhone app series. Optimised for iPhone 3G handsets but equally compatible with first generation iPhones, the app is simple to use and also enables users to access ViaMichelin maps directly from their handsets.

The app is available as a free download from the iTunes App Store and is said to provide “a broad range of clear, concise traffic and travel information including: congestion levels, accidents, road works, slow-moving traffic [and] speed camera locations.”
