All Round Performers
If cars were merely a means of travelling from A to B, Top Gear would be a dry and factual programme screened in an obscure timeslot – and, by the same logic, if tyres were just something used to connect road and vehicle, the high performance tyre market wouldn’t have reached the position it holds today. Yet in addition to boosting a brand’s profile and serving as flagship products within a range, high performance tyres are tidy profit earners in their own right. All in all, there’s plenty to like here – so please join T&A in June for our high performance tyre feature.
Industrial/Specialty Tyres
Okay, these may lack the glamour of their high performance brethren and the industrial tyre segment received a hammering in 2009, but down is by no means out. As industry and business picks up, an upswing in industrial tyre sales is inevitable. Keep informed about this sector with the industrial/special tyres feature.
More Than Just Hot Air
In 2009 the UK was the European ‘leader’ in terms of road pollution, with 95 per cent of our cities exceeding EU limits for nitrogen dioxide. Measures have been taken to improve this, such as the banning of non type-approved catalytic converters on late model vehicles, and the role exhausts will play in bringing pollution down to more tolerable levels is significant. Coverage of this essential product is given in the June edition of Tyres & Accessories – look for our Exhausts feature within its pages.
