Kings Road Tyres Takes Opportunity to Promote Kingstone Brand
UK wholesaler Kings Road Tyres told Tyres & Accessories its presence at Reifen was an opportunity “to sell the Kings Road Tyres brand” at its stand next to one of Hall 2’s entrances alongside other major European tyre distributors. Purchasing and marketing manager Tim Bader said the show offered a “great opportunity for promoting our private brand Kingstone into Europe”.
The Kingstone range of tyres and tubes, which includes products in truck and bus, construction, skid steer, pneumatic industrial and off-the-road segments is manufactured in Central Europe, a fact Bader suggested was important to buyers. Having a strong own brand product is an important factor in selling the Kings Road Tyres name, acknowledged Bader.
While Peter Gaster said the last Reifen show in 2008 had been successful for the company, explaining “visitors who attended Essen were all professionals who were there to do business”, Bader said the “business content” at the 2010 edition had been “better this year”, in terms of the “level of people” in attendance and the contact achieved with “new and existing customers”, reflecting the “great importance” Kings Road Tyres places on “building personal relationships with our customers”. Bader continued that the Essen event represented “the best show in the world”, thanks in part to the presence of the major manufacturers and the bigger “buzz” the show generates.
In terms of online ordering facilities, Bader said Kings Road Tyres has recently completed development of its system in the UK. Driven by existing customers through the desire for convenience and an easily located paper trail, it is perhaps a feature that the wholesale operation will look to ramp up through advertising in the future.
