Ipswich Tyre Group Expands

Ipswich Tyre Group is expanding with the opening of Premier Body Works in Bury St Edmunds, bringing the total number of depots within its group to six. The new site will continue to focus on its vehicle repair business, and Ipswich Tyre Group will introduce Cameo from Cam Systems after working effectively with the industry-specific software platform in its other centres.

Established some 26 years ago, the Ipswich Tyre Group has grown considerably with a turnover now exceeding £9 million, successfully becoming a large specialist that provides tyres, vehicle servicing and now accident repairs and refurbishment for domestic, commercial and agricultural transport across Suffolk and North Essex. The introduction of Cameo some 14 years ago has equipped head office with strong historic reporting, invaluable stock control and purchase ledger, and enabled it to integrate the data with its accounting programme Sage.

Tony Wilmot, general manager of Ipswich Tyre Group, says:  “Being designed specifically for our industry, Cameo is the perfect operating software.  It is very simple to use, yet really effective, and suits our business very well.  With our new depot on board we will be able to adapt the platform to suit the exact requirements of this vehicle repair centre.  We wouldn’t be without it.”
