CGS Extends John Deere OE with Conti Agri Tyres

A number of Continental branded agricultural tyres produced by CGS Tyres have been approved for fitment on several high horsepower John Deere tractors. The Continental tyres will be fitted as original equipment on the 6030/6030 Premium, 7030/7030 Premium, 8R and 9030 series John Deere tractors. CGS comments that its Continental brand agricultural tyres are now available on all John Deere tractors – from 5E series up to the 9030 series.

“This reinforcement of CGS TYRES as an original equipment tyre supplier to John Deere enables us to strengthen our position in the high horsepower tractor segment,” said Lutz Rose, key account manager Original Equipment at CGS Tyres.

Tractors in the engine-power class up to 133 kW (180 hp) are equipped with the ContiContract AC 85, ContiContract AC 70 and ContiContract AC 65, while the Continental SVT is to be fitted to tractors with more than 180 hp (132 kW) and harvesters. CGS notes that the large air volume contained in the Continental SVT guarantees gentle ground handling combined with very high load capacities and lowest possible inflation pressure – thereby ensuring high yields.

John Deere has also become the first manufacture to offer the Continental SilentSpeedTyre (SST) as an original equipment option. The SST, explains CGS, reduces noise levels in the driver‘s cab by 50 per cent at speeds of more than 40 mph. In addition, the Continental SST provides the technical attributes and benefits offered by the 65 series tyre.
