New Online Tool Helps With Hard to Find Tyres
TireHunter.com, a subsidiary of Network Tire Inc., from Chalfont, Pennsylvania in the US, has launched a free service for tyre wholesalers, retailers and consumers. According to the company, TireHunter.com helps locate those “hard to find” tyres and can do so “whether it’s one tyre or a container.” Apart from the wide-ranging scale, what’s unique about this offering is the fact that the company will arrange to ship the tyres it finds directly to the customers’ location.
“We believe that TireHunter.com will provide an invaluable service to wholesalers and retailers by taking the search effort off of their shoulders. Given the proliferation of tyre brands from all over the world, it is difficult for most tyre wholesalers and retailers to keep up with inventory, particularly if they only need a limited quantity. TireHunter.com was established to fill a unique niche by providing search capability for all brands,” Network Tire’s Andy Chalofsky explained, adding:
“We are trying to build our European supplier base…We have an area on our site where suppliers/wholesalers/distributors can sign up with us to become a supplier. We then use the information they provide to put in our database. Then when people submit requests, it will send out a notification to our suppliers that carry that certain tyre, which then helps us to find it quicker. It is a great way for us to build new relationships with overseas suppliers and for us to complete any overseas requests.”
According to the company’s promotional literature, TireHunter.com takes the place of hundreds of phone calls and no brand is too small: “TireHunter.com will scour the world to find the best deal. With the proliferation of tyre brands numbering almost 500, the search for tyres has become a tremendous drain on the limited resources of tyre wholesalers and retailers.”
