Eighth CITExpo to Open with Chinese Tyre Exports Continuing to Rise
Wilko Fong, the managing director of Reliable International Exhibition Services, is buoyant about the upcoming CITExpo 2010. Suggesting that the recent economic turmoil has come to an end, Fong believes the worldwide economies are on the up and one of the areas in which this has been most prevalent has been the tyre industry, especially in China, which has become the top ranked tyre exporting country. According to export figures released by Chinese customs, Fong continues, in the first quarter of 2010 the quantity and value of exported tyres to Latin America, Europe and Asean has risen from 20 to 40 per cent from the major ports, such as Shanghai, Guangzhou and Tianjin. “We can also observe the recovering market from the enthusiasm of the exhibitors and pre-registered visitors of CITExpo 2010,” he continued.
According to Fong, the number and the booked space of registered exhibitors has exceeded that reached at the same point for last year’s CITExpo. Fong expects the number of exhibitors of CITExpo 2010 will be more than 300, occupying 21,000 square meters of exhibition space in the three halls. Meanwhile the number of pre-registered visitors from over 80 countries has reportedly increased significantly. Fong believes that CITExpo 2010 will continue to provide an excellent platform for worldwide tyre industry professionals to meet and create tremendous business opportunities.
The organiser anticipates that the “high quality exhibitors… will be showcasing their latest products and technology in CITEXPO 2010 including radial tyres, bias tyres, wheels/rims, tyre maintenance equipments, retread materials and equipments, tyre production material and equipment and other related products”. Reliable also stated that there will be some new business fields taking part in this year’s show, such as standards certification services and testing equipment for production equipment.
Besides the major Chinese manufacturers, some foreign brands such as Copper ChengShan Tire and 31 Incorporated from USA, Nankang from Taiwan, Maxam Tire and ACACIA Wheels from Italy, Hofmann from Germany, S&H Tyres BV and The VMI Group from Holland and Stamford Tyres from Singapore. They will be exhibited by their Chinese representatives, joint venture companies and other suppliers in this year’s show.
Visitors who pre-register online for 2010 at www.citepxo.com.cn will enjoy free admission, fast registration line, a copy of the show catalogue and a limited edition souvenir. “We look forward to another successful CITEXPO in 2010,” concludes Fong.
