Cooper Announces Ascot Ladies Day Prize Winner
A glance at any UK national newspaper’s society pages this week will tell you that Royal Ascot is upon us. Amongst the glamour of the zany hats and figure-hugging dresses will be Ivybridge motorist Julia Bertram, who will attend Ladies’ Day this Thursday (June 17), thanks to the Cooper tyres she bought from distributor, Victor Barry Tyres.
Bertram was entered into Cooper Tire’s free draw after she bought a set of four Cooper Zeon CS6 tyres for her Skoda Octavia from the firm, based in Plympton, Plymouth. She and three friends will enjoy a stay in the Royal Berkshire Hotel, grandstand and paddock access at Royal Ascot, a champagne and Pimms reception, lunch and afternoon tea. She will also get her day at the races off to a flying start, with £50 worth of betting vouchers.
Bertram said: “I’m very much looking forward to it. I go jump racing quite often, but I don’t get the chance to go flat racing because there aren’t any of those courses near me. I’m taking three chums from my village with me – I offered a ticket to my husband but he said it’s a ladies’ day, and to take ladies. I will have my form book at the ready.”
Cooper Tire Europe managing director, Julian Baldwin, said, “Ascot Ladies Day is a major diary date for any aspiring socialite, and Royal Ascot is a must-see event for sports fans. I hope that Mrs Bertram enjoys her experience to the full and we’d like to thank her for her custom.”
