Bridgestone and Bandag Gain 55 Leads in First Joint Show
Bridgestone UK and Bandag attended this year’s Tip-ex show in Harrogate for the first time since the two companies’ merger. And what’s more the company reports that it gained “55 firm leads and enquiries to follow up,” surpassing all expectations. Ross Medlyn, Bandag franchise manger for UK and Ireland commented: “Bandag attended the show two years ago and it was a real success, so we wanted to take the opportunity to present Bridgestone and Bandag under one umbrella for the first time at Tip-ex 2010."
Bridgestone UK were aiming to reinforce the message that Bandag’s great reputation has been “strengthened by the backing of the world’s number one tyre company.” And, according to the company, the introduction of three new Bridgestone retread products at the event, the M840, L355 and M748 created a real talking point and added interest to the attendance.
“Introducing these Bridgestone designs has been great for the show. They are a precursor to two further products launching later this year, meaning that Bridgestone provides the most complete retread offering in the market,” Ross Medlyn added.
