Yokohama Names New Tire Group President
Yokohama Rubber states it is establishing the position of president within its Tire Group. This role, which will be formally approved at a general meeting of shareholders on June 25, is to be undertaken by Hikomitsu Noji, who currently also holds the position of general manager of the company’s Tire Global Production Division. At the same time, Noji is being promoted from the position of director and corporate officer to that of director and managing corporate officer.
A further organisational change to be approved on June 25 is the creation of the company’s new Global Procurement Division. Senior management changes adopted at a Yokohama Rubber Board of Directors meeting on May 12, again scheduled for approval at the June 25 meeting, see Norio Karashima promoted to the position of director and vice president, Fumio Morita to director, Koichi Tanaka to senior managing corporate officer, Misao Hiza and Takao Oishi to the roles of managing corporate officer, and a total of five members of management – Takaharu Fushimi, Tadashi Suzuki, Hideto Katsuragawa, Hirohisa Hazama and Tetsuya Kuze – promoted to corporate officer positions. Tatsunari Kojima is retiring from the role of director, while Seiji Takai and Toshio Izawa are stepping down from the positions of managing corporate officer.
