Thompsons of Prudhoe Praises GT Radial CPK

Northumberland based haulage firm Thompsons of Prudhoe recently reported that it is “extremely pleased” with the cost per kilometre performance of GT Radial tyres. The news follows Thompsons’ decision to test GT Radial tyres including GT659+ regional haul drive, GT686 mixed service drive GT876 mixed service trailer products supplied and fitted by local tyre dealer Hexham Tyre and Battery.

“We found the price per kilometre performance of the GT Radial product to be excellent in comparison with other brands in a higher market position. We have also seen the casing durability playing a major factor in reducing our tyre costs. Furthermore we have reduced down time and have less tyre damage than previous experience with other tyres used,” transport manager Ronnie MGrouther commented.

Established in 1948 the Northumberland based Thompsons of Prudhoe are a leading demolition and earthworks contractor employing over 300 associates and operating a fleet of 135 trucks in addition to a vast array of plant equipment. Thompsons manage the operation in quarries, waste disposal sites and recycling centres in Northumberland, Durham, Cumbria and Tyne and Wear.
