New GEA President Champions Quality
Malcolm England, general manager of Unipart’s Garage Equipment Services division and recently appointed president of the Garage Equipment Association (GEA) has promoted quality, safety and service during his president’s speech at this year’s GEA dinner.
Malcolm commented: “The GEA has become recognised as our industry’s body, for example its lift engineer accreditation scheme has approved over 125 engineers and numbers are constantly growing. This accreditation scheme has driven-up the standards within our industry and provides our customers with greater peace of mind. During my term as president I will constantly influence the GEA in improving not just our industry’s service standards, but also the quality of the equipment supplied by its members.”
Dave Garratt, chief executive of the GEA commented: “Malcolm’s experience in the Garage Equipment Service and Supply Industry will be extremely beneficial to us and will help our Association to better represent our Industry, which in turn will benefit all garages.”
The GEA dinner also raised £2,300 for the Motor Industry’s charity BEN, which was made up by GEA Council to £3,000.
