Kwik Fit Offers ‘F1 Tyres at Go-Kart Prices’
Kwik-Fit, the UK’s largest tyre retailer, is running a promotion offering Bridgestone tyres at discounts of up to 35 per cent for eight days between 24 and 31 May. All sizes of Bridgestone – the sole tyre supplier for Formula 1 since 2007 which appears to be ending its supply deal at the end of 2010 season – are said to be included. According to a press release publishing details of the deal, retail prices start from just £27.30 each and the tyres are being marketed as “a premium tyre without the price premium.”
The Bridgestone sale applies to purchases in all of Kwik-Fit’s centres across the country and includes Bank Holiday Monday, with the discount dependent on the number of tyres purchased. Consumers get 35 per cent off four tyres, 25 per cent off two or three tyres and 15 per cent off one tyre.
David White, customer services director commented: “It’s not often you see such exceptional prices. We’ve replenished the supplies in our centres in anticipation, as we’re sure there will be a huge demand at these prices. If drivers are looking for an F1 quality performance tyre – this week would be the perfect time.”
