D&G Autocare Launches Online Retail Site
Independent garage group D&G Autocare, which operates seven locations in Scotland, is launching its own online retail portal. The new business goes by the name Net-A-Tyre and is accessible at www.netatyre.co.uk. According to the company, the online portal “offers customers the chance to buy tyres simply and easily online and have them fitted where they want at one of the company’s UK wide network of independent fitting agents.” D&G Autocare adds that it seeks to expand this already growing network.
“There are many advantages to becoming a Net-A-Tyre agent, namely that we can generate traffic into the garages who perhaps do not use their services at the moment or have not known about their locations,” said Net-A-Tyre manager Stuart Burns. “This will give those garages the chance to turn these new customers into regular visitors. And if there is extra work required in the vehicles outside of their new tyres being fitted, the garages are free to sell that additional work to the customer, which will boost their revenue.
“We also list Net-A-Tyre agents on our dealer list and advertise them on our website,” he added. “It can be a very effective way of building your business and I am confident of a good and profitable relationship being established between us and the garages.”
George Simpson, who along with David Hunter heads up D&G Autocare, has expressed confidence that Net-A-Tyre can make a strong impression in the industry. According to Simpson, the business is already in discussion with a number of businesses about offering a dedicated service. “We are very excited about Net-A-Tyre which for us is a natural progression from our network of garages,” said Simpson. “David, myself and Net-A-Tyre Manager Stuart Burns, all have many years’ experience in the autocare industry and excellent contacts with tyre manufacturers. We are now applying this expertise to this new online industry which ultimately makes life easier for the consumer who already sees the internet as a quick and convenient of buying everything from food to insurance.”
“Our service is personalised as we can also offer impartial help and advice over the phone to buyers through our dedicated tyre team,” he added. “It’s vitally important that those using netatyre.co.uk know that they have a human being on the end of the phone if need be. They may not have ordered tyres on the internet before or they may be unsure of what their requirements are. We will advise customers impartially and work within their budget which is very important at the moment with the current credit crunch.”
The Net-A-Tyre portal, says D&G Autocare, supplies “every type of tyre from top of the range performance tyres, van tyres, 4×4 tyres to budget tyres.” The company adds that every tyre sold and fitted is covered by a full warranty and guarantee.
