Conti Appoints Burden to UK Industrial Tyres Position

Ian Burden has been appointed to the role of industrial sales manager for Continental Industrial Tyres UK’s South region. Burden, a qualified mechanical engineer who has worked in the industrial materials handling industry for more than a quarter of a century, joins Continental from NACCO Materials Handling Group. In his new position, Burden will report to general sales manager Leon McMahon.

“Continental has a strong record in the industrial sector and a great product range covering all applications,” said Burden. “I am looking forward to strengthening relationships with both tyre dealers and the wider customer base.”

“Ian brings a wealth of industry knowledge and experience to  Continental,” commented McMahon. “He is a great addition to our already strong sales team. We are launching some important new radial products and we are in an excellent position to take these to the market.”

John Saunders, who previously held this position, has taken up a European Industrial sales role that reports directly into Continental’s head office in Germany.
